The breakfasts will recognize COR contractors, give an overview about the benefits of COR and the Alliance’s many other services and resources, and provide safety information and networking opportunities. The breakfasts will also feature Jeff Lyth, BCCSA Regional Safety Coordinator, speaking about how leadership can improve safety and is key to continual improvements and more successful production and safety outcomes!

COR certified companies in the audience will be acknowledged and receive a BCCSA COR-certified hard hat created especially for the occasion and will be featured in the BCCSA’s next Hard Hat newsletter.

The first breakfast was held in Kelowna on May 17 and was a great success, with over 50 contractors, employees, and industry professionals attending (click here to read more about the event).

The BCCSA Breakfasts are one component of a provincial outreach strategy designed to recognize COR contractors, provide practical safety information, and ensure members know about the Alliance’s many services and resources. The strategy also extends to construction workers, many of whom may not be aware that there is now a unified safety association for construction.

BCCSA is BC’s provincial construction safety association funded by industry, through WorkSafeBC annual assessments. We are working for and with industry to ensure jobsites in BC are as safe as possible by offering a range of programs and services to both employers and workers that focus on injury prevention and creating or enhancing a culture of safety on construction sites. BCCSA was born out of industry’s need for a primary voice for safety that is focused on injury prevention.
