National Energy Board Damage Prevention Regulations (DPRs) 30 Day Comment Period

The Pipeline Safety Act (Bill C-46) received royal assent on18 June 2015, and makes amendments to the National Energy Board Act (NEB Act) that will be in force within one year. Due to the Pipeline Safety Act amendments to the NEB Act (sections 2 and 112), the NEB must update its regulations for pipeline damage prevention.

The proposed Regulations for Pipeline Damage Prevention are published in the Canada Gazette Part I. Vol. 150, No. 12, pages 813 to 854 for a 30-day comment period, with written comments to be submitted by 18 April 2016.
