WorkSafeBC has updated its Planned Inspectional Initiatives to reflect their areas of focus and prevention activities for 2024.
WorkSafeBC’s Planned Inspectional Initiatives (previously known as High Risk Strategies and Industry Initiatives) support effective management of risks by examining and promoting occupational health and safety basics and specific areas of high risk for particular industries. WorkSafeBC initiatives take place over multiple years and are reviewed annually to make any necessary adjustments to ensure employers and workers continue to focus their efforts on key areas of risk.
For 2024, many of WorkSafeBC’s initiatives will continue to emphasize risk management basics, in addition to specific risks for a particular industry. They target and refine risks based on data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and input from advisory groups. Below are links to the relevant initiative for our industry:
