- Networking and collaborating

What can you do?
Become a BCCGA Member –> BC Common Ground Alliance Membership.
Do you own or manage a utility?
- When retaining utility locator services, there are three ways to ensure you choose a pro:
- Make sure they are a BCCGA member,
- They have successfully completed Locator Certification Training offered by BC Municipal Safety Association (BCMSA) or Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and/or
- They are ASTTBC Registered Utility Locator Technicians (RULT).
- Require anyone excavating on your right of way to have training that complies with the BCCGA Ground Disturbance 201 Standard.
- Be familiar with the CCGA Best Practices.
Do you Locate?
- Attend Locator Certification Training offered by BC Municipal Safety Association (BCMSA) or Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
- Become an ASTTBC Registered Utility Locator Technician (RULT).
- Be familiar with the CCGA Best Practices.
Do you dig?
- Call or Click BC 1 Call at least three days before you dig!
- Ensure that you have training that complies with the BCCGA Ground Disturbance 201 Standard.

Do you provide training?
- Ensure that your courses are endorsed by BCCGA as compliant with the BCCGA Ground Disturbance 201 Standard.
